In Memory of Randy "Neely" MacNeil
The Halifax Hurricanes Ringette Association would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Randy "Neely" MacNeill who lost his courageous battle against cancer on January 25 2023.
'Neely' was a permanent fixture in our ringette community and has made a great impact on players, coaches and families alike!
He'll always be remembered for his ability to brighten a room when he entered. Maybe it was because of his contagious smile but more so due to his "eye-catching' outfits he was best known for!
"Neely" was an inspiration to all with his positivity, kind heart, humour, true friendship and most of all love.
The "Great Randini" never failed to keep the crowd's attention with one of his infamous card tricks or standing on his head in the locker room to ensure the players would finally listen to what he had to say.
We would like to ask that members of our Hurricanes community make an act of kindness in Neely's memory when the opportunity arises!
Randy will be remembered during a Celebration of Life on February 26, 2023 starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, 1055 Marginal Road.
The family would like to invite you to attend and be sure to wear your Ringette Jersey, hockey jersey, ball jersey or crazy clothes (the crazier the better!!)
