Our August 2024 development programs are now OPEN for registration!
Important notes:
- The registration link for all three of these programs can be found here: http://HalifaxHurricanesRA.rampregistrations.com/participant;
- As you’ll see below, the two power skating programs will be open to Halifax Hurricanes Ringette Association players only until 9 pm Atlantic on Friday, June 28, at which time players from other Central Region Ringette League associations can register, so get your registrations in this week to ensure you secure a spot!; and
- HHRA won’t be running dustoffs or tryout practices during the pre-season, so these programs are your opportunities to get on the ice early in preparation for the 2024/25 ringette season!

Program lineup:
Goalie Development with Upper Echelon Goaltending
Open to all Central Region Ringette League associations
The Halifax Hurricanes Ringette Association is excited to announce that registration for August Goalie Development with Colin Hodd and Upper Echelon Goaltending!
RNS goalies from all associations and all skill levels (U10-U19) are invited to join Colin Hodd and his instructors for a 5-session program focused solely on developing goalie skills!
Each week, participants will focus on a specific skill and continue to build off of those foundational skills in following weeks. Emphasis is placed on goalie-specific power skating and edge work at the beginning of each session, followed by activities focused on the development of positioning, lateral movements in the crease, rebound control, goalie ring distributions with glove and stick, and more. Goalies will be grouped together and drills may be adjusted based on like age and skill level. Goalie games will be used to keep things fun!
All sessions will occur on the following Thursdays 7:15pm @ HRM 4Pad (BMO):

U14/U16 Power Skating with John MacWilliams
Open to Halifax Hurricanes Ringette Association players only until 9 pm Atlantic on Friday, June 28, at which time players from other Central Region Ringette League associations can register.
In preparation for the 2024/2025 Ringette season, HHRA is offering August power skating sessions with on-ice coach John MacWilliams. Open to Hurricanes athletes who will play U14 and U16 during the 2024/25 season (birth years 2009,2010,2011,2012), these 5 sessions will help you master your skating techniques while adding power and strength. The cost per skater for the program is $125. These combined U14/U16 sessions are limited to only 20 skaters, sign-up today!
